Demian González is a cave diver and TDI/SDI instructor from Argentina, based in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. He began his diving journey in Thailand, where his curiosity for the underwater world led him to participate in local marine conservation projects as a volunteer. That early experience sparked a deeper interest in diving beyond recreation, eventually guiding him toward technical and overhead environments.
Today, Demian focuses on teaching at the technical and overhead levels, as well as guiding in remote and less accessible environments — particularly the vast cave systems of the Riviera Maya. With a calm, methodical approach, he emphasizes control, awareness, and thoughtful execution in all aspects of diving.
In addition to instruction and guiding, Demian also contributes as a lighting assistant during underwater photo sessions in caves and other challenging environments, combining his technical skillset with a strong sense of spatial awareness and teamwork.
